A 44-meter vessel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has been chosen by the Augustinian friars and organizers from the Cebu City Government to act as the galleon for the fluvial parade the following year.

The Holy Child is the subject of a month-long celebration known as Fiesta Seor. The secular highlight of the event is the Sinulog Festival.

This indicates that the galleon that will transport the Sto. The fluvial procession will return to the Fiesta Seor celebration in January 2023 after a two-year absence caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

For devotees who want to participate in and watch the return of the fluvial procession for Fiesta Seor in 2023, there is more good news.

On December 7, 2022, the Public Information Office (PIO) of the Cebu City Government reported that the fluvial procession's route had been expanded.
