Kris traveled to the US in June 2022 and has remained there ever since as she looks for medical care for a number of ailments.
She was first identified as having the extremely rare condition Eosinophilic Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (EGPA), but underwent additional testing after experiencing negative side effects from her medications.
She revealed that she had been diagnosed with four autoimmune disorders, two of which are life-threatening, as well as "a highly likely fifth" ailment in her most recent health update shared on Instagram on December 24, 2022.
As she prepares to begin her first cycle of immunotherapy treatment, Kris noted that she and her sons had submitted the required papers to prolong their stay in the US. She estimated that the cycle would last about 10 months.
