2022 BAR EXAM RESULTS: List of Passers and Topnotchers November 2022

How many people took the 2022 Bar Exams?

According to SC, 9,183 would-be attorneys out of 10,006 eligible examinees successfully completed the 2022 bar exams, representing a 91.77% turnout. The number of students who took the demanding 4-day tests is listed below:

Day One: 9,207

Day Two: 9,196

Day Three: 9,190

Day Four: 9,183

Three to five months after the tests, the Supreme Court (SC) of the Philippines is anticipated to disclose the official list of passers and list of topnotchers from the November 2022 Bar exam.

The 2022 bar exams, like the 2020–2021 bar exams, were administered digitally and were not spaced out across four (4) consecutive Sundays in a month, hence they were not dependent on penmanship. The November 9 (Wednesday), 13 (Sunday), and 16 of 2022 were the dates for the bar examinations.

After the previous digitalized bar exams were a success, SC kept up the good work and launched Examplify, a secure exam delivery program in which test takers use their own devices at their preferred location while being watched by on-site proctors and closed-circuit television cameras in the exam rooms.

Updated on February 16, 2023: Per Attorney Results of the 2022 bar exams will probably be made public by the end of April 2023 in Caguioa, IBP NatCon. This is not yet official, though. Close to the anticipated release date, they will announce the precise release date.

Release date to be determined (after the special En Banc session).

Headed by Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa, Associate Justice, the simultaneous digital and regionalized bar exams were administered at fourteen (14) local testing centers in Luzon (De La Salle University of Manila – Taft, San Beda University, Manila Adventist College, University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, Saint Louis University Baguio City, University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City and De La Salle University Lipa), Visayas (University of San Carlos Cebu City, University of Cebu and Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Education Foundation Tacloban City) and Mindanao (Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Xavier University and Ateneo de Davao University).

Justice Caguioa inspired the examinees with these statements, to quote,

Quiet your minds. Still your souls. And recall why and for whom you are doing this – your families and loved ones, the people you hope to help, the schools you wish to give back to, the nation you want to serve. Maraming nagmamahal at naghihintay sa inyo, so — for them — be dauntless. Fight and stay on. Refuse to give up.

When is the release of 2022 Bar exam results?

Results are often made public 5–6 months after the tests. However, because the 2022 bar tests will be conducted digitally, it is anticipated that the results will be made public earlier than in the past because examiners will have more time to review the answers. Similarly, three to five months following exams, results are anticipated.

The SC is holding a special en banc session to decipher the bar exam results prior to the official publishing of results. This is the procedure for releasing the sealed bags containing the test takers' names.

The list of successful candidates will also be published on the SC's official website and shown on a widescreen in front of the Supreme Court. You can also use this page as a reference since.

The Supreme Court of the Philippines, acting through the SC's Bar Test Committee, administers the annual Philippine Bar Examination to candidates for legal practice. The Professional Regulation Commission does not regulate any other professional licensing exams, including this one (PRC).

The 120th set of bar exams will be held in November 2022 for all future attorneys.

In the Philippines, the bar exam is regarded as the toughest professional exam. Only a 27% average passing rate was noted from 2010 to 2019. The volume of Philippine cases and statutory legislation, which is on the rise, is mostly to blame for the difficulty in passing.

The batch with the highest passing percentage, 2020-2021, had a 72.28% success rate.

Applicants who have failed the bar exam three times are not eligible to retake it unless they enroll in and successfully complete the usual fourth-year review classes as well as a pre-bar review course at an accredited institution.
