CALUBIAN PHILIPPINES - The Lubi-Lubi Festival is celebrated annually in Calubian, Leyte on  August 15th.  This vibrant festival highlights the importance of the coconut tree to the people of Calubian, showcasing its diverse uses through cultural presentations, dances, and street parades.  The festival is named after the local word for coconut, "lubi," and is held in honor of the town's patron saints, Our Lady of Fatima and St. Roque.
