Why do Boholanos have a "J" tongue?
Famous phrase such as "Wa jamo"

Antonio Pigafetta - An Italian scholar and explorer from the Republic of Venice. He traveled with the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan together with his crew by order of the King Charles I of Spain on their voyage to the West Indies and Philippines. He was instrumental in the translation of the Cebuano (also known as Visayan language) to Spanish language by his account of events of their voyage as written in his famous journal.

Its origin can be traced way back from the Spanish period. Bohol was one of the major colony settlements during that time as evidenced by the many stone structures built all around the island that we still see today.

The Spanish language has certain letters that are pronounced differently from the English alphabet, for example letter J is pronounced as H in Spanish (i.e. Jaime), double "LL" pronounced as Y (i.e. llave - keys, llantas - tire rims). Interestingly Y is pronounced as J. Spanish word like playa meaning beach is pronounced as "plaja" . The most famous phrase that Boholanos are being quoted for is the phrase "Wa jamo", the word "jamo" is derived from the Spanish phrase "ya no" pronounced as "ja no" meaning "no longer" and it also means "nothing more". Even to this present day, Boholanos are still pronouncing "Y "as "J" including the Visayan vernacular words and phrases.

So every time you hear a Bol-anon pronounced "J" in their words and sentences, think of it as a Spanish cultural influence deeply embeded in the Boholano tongue.

Doña Gracia Nasi (c. 1510–1569) defied the odds to become one of the most influential women of the Renaissance era.

From using her wealth to save fellow Sephardic Jews from persecution to establishing trade networks and creating safe havens, her life was an example of transforming Jewish diaspora and exile into opportunity.

Nasi was among the most formidable figures of the Sephardi world in the sixteenth century. Her dramatic life began in Portugal, where she was born into a Jewish family whose members had recently been forcibly baptized. It ended in Constantinople (now Istanbul) after a career that brought her renown as a shrewd and resourceful businesswoman, a leader of the Sephardi Diaspora, and a generous benefactor of Jewish enterprises. She became known among her contemporaries simply as “La Señora.”

Hakimi's wife filed for divorce from the PSG player after 3 years of marriage and demanded half of all the footballer's properties

Unfortunately for her and much to her great surprise she found out that there is no fortune because the court informed her that her multi-millionaire husband owns nothing as all his properties are registered in HIS MOM'S name.

Hakimi earns €1 million a month with PSG and deposits all the money in his mom's account. Houses, land, cars, jewelry, clothes, and everything Hakimi buys names in his mother's name. THE WONDERFUL PLAY.

Lesson : Love as powerful as

your mother's leaves its own mark... To have

been loved so deeply...

Will give us some

protection torever.

They are settled in Maun as the principal village, Kareng, Nokaneng, Sehitwa and many neighbouring other villages.

HOW TO AVOID EMOTIONAL AFFAIR...✍🏾

Even if you are married to the best spouse in the whole world, if you do not guard your heart, you may end up "falling in love" with someone aside your spouse and eventually ruin your marriage.

No one gets married and plan to have affair but lots of married men and women are into affairs today because they slept when they should have been wide awake with their five senses alert.

1. Don't be too friendly with the opposite sex. This is where lots of married people land in trouble. Over spirituality and pride will destroy your marriage! You can't handle close friendship with the opposite sex as a married person. Your heart is involved. Set boundaries. Be disciplined. Be cordial. Be respectful. Be godly. Be holy.

2. Don't share your personal problems with an opposite sex friend. It will bond you together. Problems bond people.

3. Don't contact any opposite sex you are fond of. If you secretly admire them, you are fond of them and their is a tingling in your heart at the mere thought of them, don't contact!

4. Avoid unnecessary eye contact that lingers with the opposite sex.

5. Don't tell an opposite sex you are romantic or sexy, that private information is for your spouse only.

6. Avoid discussions with the opposite sex when you are tired, very sad, depressed, sorrowful, drowsy, sleepy or very sick. This can cloud your judgment and make you say silly things. Talk to your husband/wife instead.

7. Avoid unnecessary compliment of the opposite sex.

8. Stop saying "I love you" to the opposite sex, for what?

9. Work on your marriage. Keep the fire of love and romance alive in your marriage!

10. Protect your family. Don't share your marital problem with your opposite sex friend, it will bond you.

11.Never flirt with the opposite sex.

12. Mind the pictures you post on the social media. Limit pictures that show your curves or portray you as sexy.

13. Do not contact all your EX after marriage.

 14.Don't chat with the opposite
