Before Rewind overtook the 2019 original movie in January of this year, the movie was the highest-grossing Philippine film ever.

In Hello, Love, Again, seasoned performers Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards will return as Joy and Ethan, respectively. The sequel will be directed by the same person who directed the first movie, Cathy Garcia-Sampana. Filming for the sequel will take place in Canada.

The movie will open in theaters in the Philippines on November 13 of this year, and then it will be released internationally.

Five years have passed since Joy (Kathryn Bernardo) bid farewell to Ethan (Alden Richards) and left Hong Kong to pursue her aspirations in Canada, as depicted in *Hello, Love, Again*. When Joy and Ethan reunite in Canada, after battling the challenges of time, distance, and even a worldwide blackout that kept them apart, they discover that each has undergone significant personal growth.

This marks the first collaboration between GMA Pictures and Star Cinema, the film production companies of GMA Network and ABS-CBN, on a movie.

As part of a broader content agreement, parent companies ABS-CBN and GMA have collaborated on two projects so far: the drama series *Unbreak My Heart* last year and the long-running variety show *It's Showtime* in April of this year.

"Kriz Gazmen, Head of Star Cinema, said that the company has always been passionate about telling the stories of our overseas Filipino workers on the big screen, to honor their sacrifices, grit, and resilience to be able to provide for their families."

"Hello Love Again emerges from the same enthusiasm, but this time it centers on the lives of Filipino immigrants to Canada. This also signifies the start of our lovely partnership with GMA Pictures, who like us are passionate about narrating tales for the global Filipino audience.

"I am perhaps just as eager as all of you to discover what Joy and Ethan had to go through after Hello, Love, Goodbye and will be going through in Hello, Love, Goodbye," Garcia-Sampana continued.
